It was all new.

In 1998, LindyLazar Marketing Communications consisted of two sharp writers: Karen “Lindy” Soderholm and Cathy Lazar Nelson. Two women, two Macs, and a desire to work closely with companies in creatively marketing their goods and services. It was everything they wanted and their pencil logo represented the start of all good ideas.

Pigs flew.

“We’ll have employees when pigs fly,” they said. But if you want to hear God laugh, just tell Him your plans. A few years later, not only did opportunity knock, it came in and stayed for supper. And so did a talented team of artists, web designers, programmers, photographers, directors, and publicists. Staying small was not an option when clients were international in scope and came to rely on this group as their ‘go-to’ marketing and communications craftsmen.

We grew.

Guess that’s why we continue to grow. Today, we’re part of an eclectic community of creative and entrepreneurial businesses that are located in the former state hospital building in The Village at Grand Traverse Commons.
